Hanging weight means the weight of the whole beef on the rail before it’s cut and packaged according to your specifications on your cut sheet. Hanging weight is a different weight from the “take home meat” amount below.

You’ll receive back approximately 300-400 lbs. of take home meat after processing.  Some folks grind alot of their primal cuts, and receive back around 300, others get their bones, fat packaged and bone-in cuts, and get more “pounds” back 400 or more.

The total cost will vary based on how large the animal is at processing time.

$3,800-4,600 is the estimated total cost which will include the processing fee, our hanging weight fee, and sales tax. We subtract your deposit from the total amount owed.

This option is great for one family or two or more families who want to order a whole beef and split the cost. The meat from this order can last your family a whole year!

This is the lowest cost option, and gives you ultimate control over what type of beef cuts are processed. You get to choose!

We have made an easy-to-use online form that walks you through the cut sheet options for processing, and you can have a choice in the packaging sizes, steak thickness, roast sizes and types, and extras like beef bones and organs if you like. This is the ultimate beef buying experience. We work with you on getting the half a beef processed just the way you like it.
